As the EMU Department of Architecture, we are committed to providing our students with interdisciplinary learning experiences. As part of the ARCH 190 Summer Practice I program, in addition to the site survey studies conducted within the Department of Architecture, our students participated in laboratory sessions, experimental studies, and seminars organized in collaboration with the Departments of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and the Faculty of Tourism.
Throughout this program, our students had the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through hands-on experience while gaining valuable insights into different disciplines. The activities included the Slump Test, Compression and Tension Tests, Sieve Analysis, Natural Stone and Steel Laboratory applications, 3D Printing Technologies, HVAC Systems, Electrical Systems, and Kitchen Design.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Departments of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and the Faculty of Tourism for their valuable collaboration and support in making this learning experience possible.
Together, we learn, collaborate, and educate the architects of the future through an interdisciplinary approach.
